Robert Egan

 Founding Partner

Mr. Egan is a Founding Partner of Alston Capital and has almost 30 years of successful private equity investing experience. Prior to founding Alston Capital, Mr. Egan was a Founder and Managing Partner of Environmental Capital Partners, the predecessor firm to Alston. Mr. Egan is an early and recognized investor in the environmental sector having left JPMorgan Partners in 2006 to focus solely on investing in lower middle-market companies that require capital and expertise to meet increasing demand. Previously, Mr. Egan was a Senior Advisor and Partner at JPMorgan Partners and its affiliates. Mr. Egan was a founding partner of a JPMorgan Partners predecessor Chase Capital, and a senior executive of Chase’s Merchant Banking Group, focused on investing in middle-market growth and buyout transactions. Mr. Egan served as a director of Inframark Water and Infrastructure Services prior to its sale to New Mountain Capital, Chairman of Intechra Group LLC prior to its sale to Arrow Electronics ( NYSE “ARW”) and lead director of Cascade Environmental prior to its sale to Snow Phipps. He is currently a director of McGill Environmental Services, USA DeBusk (Infrastructure Services), Battery Solutions LLC and Compass Systems & Sales LLC. Mr. Egan received an M.B.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. from Boston University.

Daniel Clark

Senior Advisor

Mr. Clark joined Alston Capital in 2014 with a decade of private equity investing experience in the lower and middle market. Previously, Mr. Clark was a member of the Private Capital Group at BNP Paribas, N.A., and subsequently a founding member of Shore Points Capital Management, LLC, a middle-market private equity firm based in New York. Prior to his investment career Mr. Clark has over a decade of operating experience in technology and other industries. Mr. Clark holds a B.A. from Rutgers University in English and physics; an M.S. from Dalhousie University in physical oceanography; and an honors M.B.A. from Baruch College.

Mark Chernauskas

Operating Partner

Mr. Chernauskas joined Alston Capital as an Operating Partner in 2019 after retiring from General Electric. Mr. Chernauskas has over three decades of operational experience in manufacturing and commercial banking. He has been involved in process improvement, regulatory and financial auditing within the Aircraft Engines, Appliances, Plastics, Transportation & Industrial, Power Systems and Commercial Banking industries as a GE Corporate Auditor. Mr. Chernauskas was the Vice President of Sourcing, Real Estate and Acquisition & Integration for GE Card Services. He was the Quality Leader for Xerox Capital Services. Mr. Chernauskas served as the VP of Global Operations for GE Capital Americas where he oversaw collateral operations and operational risk management. He has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Connecticut.
